Build Your Own Resume Website in an Hour! – Tuesday, May 27, 2014, 6:30 PM

It’s no secret that employers search the web to find and research candidates. Stack the deck in your favor. You can easily create a resume or portfolio website, even build a blog…for FREE in less than an hour.

At the Employment Ministry meeting on Tuesday, May 27, you will also get tips on working with social media, building your personal and professional network, and creating your own original content so employers see you as a valued thought leader.

The skills you learn will work even if you can’t tell a LAN from a laptop. If you can use a word processor to update your resume, you can build your own blogging website.

Presented by Andrew Weissmann and Paul Rak, these two long-time computer professionals are teaming up to teach you these essential 21st century skills. Although techies, both Andy and Paul make tech accessible, and explain what you need to know in simple terms.

Take this giant step, adjust your mindset, upgrade your skills, and separate yourself from other job seekers.

We meet Tuesday, May 27, 6:30 pm, at St. Mary Immaculate Parish, 15629 South Rt. 59 in Plainfield. There is no cost to attend, pre-registration is not required, and all are welcome. Dress is casual. Bring copies of your handbill or resume to distribute.
