A Behind the Scenes Tour of the Hiring Process

Join the Employment Ministry’s tour of HR on January 27th with Tour Guide Judy Lake. Judy has been in the Human Resources field for over 18 years working as an HR Coordinator, HR Generalist, and HR Manager, mostly in a manufacturing environment Judy has been responsible for new employee recruitment, interviewing and orientation; managed wage and salary administration; maintained systems for tracking promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and salary reviews; assisted
supervisors and managers with coaching employees; and served as the lead with disciplinary and/or termination issues.
We meet our Tour Guide on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 in the St. Mary Immaculate Parish Faith Sharing Room, 15629 South Rt. 59 in Plainfield at 6:30 pm.
Our tour will include questions like:
– What methods/procedures does HR use to screen job seeker resumes?
– What 3 things do you look for in a resume to be recommended for an interview?
– How should I address a long period of unemployment in my resume?
– How/when should I follow up after an interview?
